Where to Get Tide Predictions for Any U.S. Coast

Tide predictions for the U.S. coastline, most Caribbean islands and many Pacific islands are free online. They come from NOAA's Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS), the office primarily responsible for predicting and measuring water levels and currents and sharing that information.

Who makes the predictions

CO-OPS collects, analyzes and distributes water level and current data to keep maritime navigation and waterborne commerce safe.

Online

The NOAA Tide Predictions service on the CO-OPS Tides & Currents website covers locations along the U.S. coastline, most of the islands in the Caribbean and many islands in the Pacific Ocean. Predictions can be generated for up to two years either side of the current year — two years in the past to two years into the future — with a wide range of options to fit what you need.

In print

CO-OPS also produces an annual series of books, the Tide Tables, printed and distributed by several commercial publishers. A list of those publishers and their contact details is in the Frequently Asked Questions on the CO-OPS website.
