A section headed [ORIGINAL SKETCHES OF CHARACTER. / LETTERS FROM THE EAST - JOHN NEAL.] valorizes the work of John Neal's defense of American character and literary accomplishment and pillory English habits and mindset in British periodicals. It quotes Neal's emphasis of British hypocrisy in views concerning countries where slavery is legal. Eight pages.
