Filling Silo HCC-10-2-11

A sepia toned photograph titled “Filling Silo HCC-10-2-11.” The photograph depicts a horse drawn cart next to a silo. The body of the silo fills the left side of image. The silo’s metal chute runs down the right side. The cart, on the right side of the image in the foreground, is a large, open flatbed with a wooden board sides at the front and back. It is yoked to two horses. A man stands at the center of the cart, bailing grain. He is wearing a light-toned panted, a long sleeve shirt, and a wide brimmed hat with a flat crown. Two other men stand between the cart and the silo. A black band runs down the side of the image with handwritten in the negative that reads [Filling Silo HCC-10-2-11]. The ground in front of silo and cart is hay strewn and in the background are fields. The reverse is white and plain.
