These figures come from 2012 and 2017.
Between 2012 and 2017, more working-age Americans had their blood cholesterol checked. According to the National Health Interview Survey, the share of adults aged 20 to 64 who had a cholesterol check by a health professional in the previous 12 months rose from 58.0% in 2012 to 65.5% in 2017.

The increase showed up at every income level:

| All adults 20–64 | 58.0% | 65.5% |
Even so, a gap remained. In both years, adults who were not poor were more likely than poor or near-poor adults to have had their cholesterol checked.
