9.15 A. M.

The subject of the removal of the President from Washington at the present time was earnestly considered by us last night and again this morning.  After mature deliberation the conclusion was arrived by the majority that it would not now be prudent, although all agree that it will be very desirable at the earliest time at which his condition may warrant it.  We are moreover unanimously of the opinion that at no time since the injury has the President exhibited any symptoms of malaria.
