Overview

The Community Preparedness Webinar Series hosted a webinar highlighting exercises that had a focus on community preparedness and participation. The webinar featured presentations from emergency management practitioners who have been involved in the design and execution of exercises.

Emergencies often involve a “whole community” effort with help from volunteer organizations, schools, businesses, faith-based institutions, and a range of other organizations; therefore, it is important that emergency management agencies partner with community-based organizations and integrate them into their jurisdiction's emergency plans and exercises.

We hope the ideas, strategies and practices shared during this webinar will help other communities design and conduct exercises that enhance community preparedness and participation.

Where this page came from

This page was imported from FEMA (Ready.gov). Published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Ready.gov and, as a work of the United States government, in the public domain; material credited to others is left out.

Nobody has written it yet — it is the source material at a new address, which is why search engines are asked to skip it and why no one earns from it. It is up for grabs: take it on, and it is yours to rewrite and to earn from.
