A resupply mission, flying your name around the Moon, and potential life on mars? Dive in with me for this week’s NASA Minute. On Tuesday, we opened submissions to send your name around the Moon with Artemis II. Launching early next year, Artemis II will be the first crewed flight of NASA’s Artemis campaign, a 10-day mission paving the way for American astronauts to return to the Moon and prepare for Mars. nasa. gov/artemisnames. On Wednesday, Secretary Duffy announced the perseverance rover found what may be a potential biosignature on Mars — our most compelling indication of previous life yet. This very well could be the clearest sign of life that we've ever found on Mars. Which is incredibly exciting.

Launched during President Trump’s first term, Perseverance continues to deliver Gold Standard Science as NASA works toward landing Americans on Mars. On Thursday, NASA supported the launch of a Russian Progress vehicle carrying nearly three tons of food, fuel, and supplies to the International Space Station. Docking is set for tomorrow at 1:27 p. m. Eastern, with live coverage on NASA+ and Amazon Prime.

For nearly 25 years, the station has hosted a continuous U. S. human presence in space — advancing science, building a low Earth orbit economy, and preparing for missions to the Moon and Mars. We're preparing America's Artemis generation for their next big leap through the TechRise Student Challenge. The submission period is open for students in 6th-12th grade at American schools to propose their bright ideas for an opportunity to test their experiments.

This will equip them with the critical skills and hands-on experience needed to carry forward the Golden Age of exploration. And finally, NASA Aeronautics is researching how new small aircraft could safely fly through cities. Working with industry, we just wrapped up data collection in the Vertical Motion Simulator at Ames. The tests focused on giving industry the high-fidelity data they need to design safe vehicles and infrastructure. That’s a wrap!
