Hub Nexus Weekly, 26 October – 1 November 2026

One short issue a week from Hub Nexus (HubNX, hubnx.com): what changed, what is new to read, and what we are working on next.

For writers

A tour of the editor, recorded on 26 October. This week's additions below came after it.

  • Callouts and highlights. Type > [!NOTE] for a callout that holds paragraphs, lists and code; wrap words in == to highlight them. Both read the same on the published page.
  • Tables that don't fight. Tab and Shift+Tab move between cells, Enter goes to the cell below, columns can be aligned, and cells copied from a spreadsheet paste as a table.
  • A format bar over chosen words. Bold, italic, strikethrough, highlight, code and link, right beside the words you chose.
  • Focus, typewriter and a word goal. Focus dims every block but the one you are writing; typewriter keeps the line in the middle of the screen; a goal shows how many words are left.
  • A menu on every block's handle. Add a line above or below, duplicate, move, delete — and the slash menu leads with Picture, video, audio or file.
  • A film can give your cover. Add a film to a page without a cover and pick a frame from it.

For readers and supporters

  • Payments say what they pay for. Settings › Payment names each payment — a page, a publication, Hub Nexus or a workspace plan — and a plan no longer offers a refund that ended it at once.
  • A share is held for a writer who has not set up payouts. It waits 90 days and is sent the day they finish. How shares are divided.
  • A page that leaves the public site stops charging its supporters at the end of the period they paid for, and each is told by email.
  • Social cards show the page's cover, or a film's still, whole.

For teams

  • Workspace plans are live. Two workspaces per account stay free; the third starts a subscription. Single sign-on needs Team; signed approvals need Quality. Plans.
  • Search looks for meaning as well as words on the results page.

About Hub Nexus (HubNX, hubnx.com)

Hub Nexus — written HubNX for short, and found at hubnx.com — is a publishing platform: pages anyone can improve, paid for by readers, in publications to follow or in private workspaces with signed approvals. What it offers, as of 31 October 2026:

ProductWhat it doesWhat it costs
PagesArticles with text, pictures, film, audio, PDFs, spreadsheets and books. Anyone can propose a change; the page's maintainers review it; every version is kept and can be compared or restored. Free to read, in 16 languages.Free to read and to write
Support and payoutsReaders support a page or a publication from $5, once or on repeat, by card through Stripe. Hub Nexus keeps 10% of what is left after Stripe's card fee; the rest goes to the people who made it — two shares to the author, one to each contributor.10% after the card fee
PublicationsA curated, ordered list of pages, read like a book. Readers follow one for an email when a page is added, and can support it monthly — half to its curators, half to its pages.Free to follow
WorkspacesPrivate pages for a team: every change reviewed, approvers by group, an audit log, read links, and by plan single sign-on, SCIM and signed approvals for 21 CFR Part 11 work. Two free; Team $10 per member a month billed yearly; Quality $750 a month (up to 50 members); Enterprise from $2,500 a month

Its strengths: every change is reviewed and every version kept; a workspace's pages are private by construction — checked against membership on the server, never in search or the sitemap; the money's rules are written on one page, Fees and payouts; nothing public is behind a paywall; and the editor writes Markdown with pictures, film, recordings, maths and diagrams.
