This page contains interviews with personnel from the Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) mission, edited for social media. The OSIRIS-REx spacecraft launched Sept. 8, 2016, and began orbiting asteroid Bennu on Dec. 31, 2018. Its primary science objective is to study Bennu and collect a sample for return to Earth in 2023. Bennu is a carbon-rich asteroid that records the earliest history of our solar system, and which may contain the raw ingredients of life. What is said in the film

So one of the unique challenges of the OSIRIS-REx mission is the microgravity environment that we're going to, which is very different from us than orbiting a planet as we're used to. Without the large gravity of a planet, the navigation uncertainties affect us a lot more. And the non-gravitational forces on the spacecraft affect our trajectory in ways that make it much more dynamic from a power and thermal point of view on the spacecraft. We're also working on a much shorter turnaround times since our optical navigation has to be downlinked every day and that drives a much faster turnaround times for us from a data and downlink point of view.

Where this page came from

This page was imported from NASA. NASA material is generally not copyrighted and is in the public domain.

Nobody has written it yet — it is the source material at a new address, which is why search engines are asked to skip it and why no one earns from it. It is up for grabs: take it on, and it is yours to rewrite and to earn from.

The recommended targets are real, but the largest health gain is between doing nothing and doing a little. That is the part worth knowing if you are starting from nothing.

Sleep is not one state but a cycle through several, each doing different work. Most sleep disorders are a failure to complete that cycle rather than a shortage of hours.
