**Do I need a reservation to visit the museum? **

Yes, all groups and individuals must make reservations. Timed-entry reservations are free for all. Bring confirmation email(s) for museum visit.

What is required to gain access to the CDC Museum?

• Reservations are required for all visitors. Groups larger than 10 must reserve their free reservation at least two weeks in advance, while free timed-entry for small groups must reserve their time at least one week in advance to get prior-authorization from security. No exceptions can be made.
• Upon arrival visitors aged 18 and older must show valid (not expired) government-issued REAL ID. Adult non-U.S. citizens must present a valid (not expired) passport for entry All visitors bring confirmation email(s) for museum visit.
• Cars and buses will be searched by CDC security. You must exit the vehicle during the search. Allow an extra 15 minutes for security screening.

Where do I park?

Parking is free at the CDC Museum. Please follow “Visitor” signs and veer right upon entering CDC Parkway (our entrance off Clifton).

• Small Vehicles
  Small vehicles will be inspected at the security guard station before parking. Parking deck clearance is 8 feet, 5 inches.
• Buses
  Buses will be directed to wait in the far-right entry lane and cannot proceed through security gates. Group members will exit the bus and walk through the security gates to the museum entry.

Can I bring a bag?

With the exception of necessary medical equipment or diaper bags, all large bags, backpacks, and bags or purses larger than 13 x 13 inches cannot be brought into the museum. All small purses or bags will be searched and scanned by CDC security.

Will we see a lab during our tour?

No. CDC is a working government facility, and tours of campuses or labs are not offered.

Why are there group limits?

Guidelines limiting the maximum number of tour participants are designed to help ensure the safety and security of our visitors.

You may consider splitting your group into two or more and booking multiple reservations.

Can I request a specific docent on a guided tour?

If you wish to request a specific docent for the guided tour (10-30 people), please make a note when booking your tour when asked to provide a description of your group.  Keep in mind that your preferred docent may not be available.
