Definitions
- Current e-cigarette user: has ever tried an e-cigarette or other electronic vaping product, even once, and now uses one every day or some days.
- Current smoker: has smoked at least 100 cigarettes in their life and now smokes every day or some days.
- Former smoker: has smoked at least 100 cigarettes but does not smoke now.
- Never smoker: has not smoked 100 cigarettes.
Estimates come from household interviews with a sample of the civilian, noninstitutionalized U.S. population.
