USA track suit pants worn by Tommie Smith on the podium at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.
The pants are navy blue and made from a synthetic knit fabric. Down the side of each leg is a 1/2” thick red stripe outlined in white. There is a 1 1/2" thick hem at the bottom of each pant leg. On the inside of each pant leg there is a zipper that starts from the bottom and goes up 11 3/4". The pants have a 1 ½” thick elastic waistband with drawstring. At the interior back center of the waistband is a white manufacturer’s label, just below the collar, with [Wilson / MADE IN U.S.A. / L] embroidered in red along with care instructions. There is another small white label with the letter "M" in black thread.
