NASA’s SpaceX Crew-11 mission with agency astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov returned to Earth after a long-duration mission aboard the International Space Station. During their stay, Cardman, Fincke, and Yui contributed more than 850 hours of research to help prepare humanity for the return to the Moon and future missions to Mars, while improving life back on Earth. What is said in the film
I hope for all of us on the International Space Station that our research is not only impacting our ability to go to the Moon for longer durations, eventually to planets like Mars, but also helping the people at home on Earth. It's a really phenomenal laboratory full of research day in and day out. On the ISS, we have microgravity environment constantly. So, we can develop a lot of new technologies, and also we can do a lot of new sciences. And the lab that you see today is different than the one that came on board, in that, we have so many more things aboard our lab module, so many more experiments, so many more technology demonstrations.
I'm really excited to see the impacts of that research. But I also hope that the work that we're doing here inspires the next generation to come invent something even grander and more collaborative than this. We really believe in the NASA mission. We really believe in human exploration. We really believe that, humans are going to be going to the Moon and Mars and the whole solar system, if not to the stars.
And being part of that team, man. Who wouldn't, who wouldn't want to do that? We all try to contribute as much as we can to the mission, and it's wicked fun.
