NASA astronaut Tracy C. Dyson and Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub closed the hatches of their Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft on Sept. 23 ahead of undocking from the International Space Station’s Prichal module. The trio will return to Earth a few hours later for a parachute-assisted landing on the steppe of Kazakhstan. During her mission, Dyson spent 184 days in space living and working aboard the microgravity laboratory to advance scientific knowledge and demonstrate new technologies for future human and robotic exploration missions as part of NASA’s Moon and Mars exploration approach, including lunar missions through NASA’s Artemis program. Kononenko and Chub landed after spending 374 days in space. Video Courtesy: NASA Center Contact: Sandra Jones, 281-483-5111 HQ Contact: Joshua Finch, 202-358-1100 For more info: www.nasa.gov/station

and good morning from Mission Control in Houston in the International Space Station flight control room at the Johnson Space Center where at this hour flight controllers working with their colleagues at the Russian Mission Control Center in the town of carof on the outskirts of Moscow are preparing to bid a farewell to three of the crew members on board the International Space Station for their return back to Earth on the soyu ms25 spacecraft the soyu ms25 which is docked to the prall node module uh which in turn is linked to the naoka multi-purpose laboratory module on the earth-facing side of the Russian segment of the international space station is the ticket home tonight for NASA's Tracy Dyson and two Russian cosmonauts from roscosmos Alig kenko and Nikolai chub kenko and chub are completing a an ISS record 374 days in space since they were launched uh over a year ago in September of 2023 Tracy Dyson is wrapping up a mission of 184 days in duration 182 days aboard the International Space Station in terms of the statistics Dyson returning home tonight after having completed 2,944 orbits of the Earth in a mission that will have Spann 78 million statued miles in this her third flight into space konun Yenko and Chu uh will be completing 374 days in space 5,984 orbits of the earth a mission that will have spanned 158. 3 million statued miles and again uh kenko and Chu eclipsed the former endurance record for any single ISS Mission this past Friday when they went past the 371 day Mark that was set a year ago by Sergey procopio Dimitri patelan and NASA's Frank Rubio the uh three departing crew members placed their soyu spacecraft on autonomous power about 35 to 40 minutes ago as they are preparing to say farewell to the other nine crew members on board the International Space Station the new station Commander Sunny Williams uh joined by Matt Dominic Mike Barrett Janette EPS Don Pettit and uh Butch Wilmore and Ros Cosmos cosmonauts Alexi oin Ivon Vagner and Alexander grenen on Sunday morning kenko who is completing uh the third command of the International Space Station that he has held handed over the Keys of the Kingdom to Sunny Williams the NASA astronaut who now is the new space station commander and commander of the International Space Station for the second time let's take a look back at the Sunday morning change of command ceremony okay Houston I would like to thank all space agen space agenes and Mission Control Center for uh the great help and uh support from the ground thanks to all my crewmate for your friendship uh it has been a great time to work and a great pleasure to work uh and spend time uh uh together here as a big family in uh on board in the space uh station and right now I'm leaving my second home as a space station in Sanitas delicate hands I pass you uh the key to the International Space Station and some V in Russian uh C Willams so I guess I get to say a couple words so I appreciate it ALG this uh Expedition 71 has taught all of us a lot about uh flexibility um the ability to adapt to a number of amazing things um um a lot of things weren't planned and somehow you guys put it all together and did it it's it's pretty amazing pretty impressive uh you adopted Butch and I even though that was not quite the plan but here we are as part of the family you welcomed uh don Alexi and Ivonne uh with open arms and uh with your soyu's crew and crew eight you have made this a great family we appreciate it ALG we'll miss your hundreds of stories around on the dinner table but I guess that's what you get for having over a thousand days in space you get those stories right uh coia we're going to miss your Precision your professionalism but I guess that's what you get when you sign up for your rookie flight AS over a year in space and Tracy we're going to miss your desk and your organization and your ability to make order out of chaos even in the the craziest of times so we thank you all three of you for that so I'm going to try and station Houston uh thank you we'll be resuming normal operational audio uh 12 years and 7 days ago was the last time Sunny had the keys in her hand uh glad to have him back that was uh spacecraft Communicator Mike Jensen on Sunday morning uh relaying the fact that Sunny Williams who's now the commander of the International Space Station first became a station Commander during Expedition 33 just over 12 years ago one other note uh for the returning crew Al Konan Yenko comes back to Earth uh on Monday morning with 1,111 days in space on his five space flights including three commands of the International Space Station he and roscosmos cosmin foda yurin are the only two people who have commanded the station three times other two-time commanders include Scott Kelly Alec kotov Anton shapov pavl vinegrad off Peggy witson and Jeff Williams as the international space station flies 260 Mi uh over the southern Indian Ocean about to begin a
