Vandalism at Doc’s Beach Recreation Area

On December 4, 2020, it was reported to the Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office, that a large, partially-dismantled chicken coop was illegally dumped at the popular recreation area, Doc’s Beach.

Located approximately seven miles from Vernal, Utah, Doc’s Beach offers a unique recreation experience just outside of town. Known for its spectacular landscape and easy access; families frequent the area to ride horses, hike, or enjoy a ride on their favorite machine.

Jessica Farmer, a Vernal Field Office Outdoor Recreation Specialist said, “It’s really a shame, there were nails, glass and broken boards all over the place. Someone could have really been hurt by someone else’s careless actions.”

Members of the public contact the Vernal Field Office or their local office if they have information about the vandalism.
