About the data
From the National Health Interview Survey, a sample of the civilian, noninstitutionalized population, answering whether they'd had a flu shot or nasal spray in the past 12 months. Percentages are age-adjusted to the 2000 U.S. standard population (ages 18–44, 45–64, 65–74 and ≥75). White, Asian and Black adults are non-Hispanic and reported one race; Hispanic adults may be of any race.
