Folio folder for The Committee for the Negro in the Arts, Art Workshop Folio. The folio is constructed from tan cardboard that folds down the middle and has two short interior flap pockets to hold the folio contents. On the front cover is a stylized illustration of a woman’s head, depicted in three-quarters view. The woman is facing the spine of the folder. Her neck and the top of her shoulders are visible, and she has a slight smile on her face. Her hair is pulled up and back and the top of her head is covered with a horn shaped, basket woven crown. Her lips, nose, and cheekbone are highlighted with a swath of light tan. Printed in relief inside an ovular brown banner at the top left corner of the folder is the text [C.N.A.]. Brown text printed below the illustration of the women’s head reads [art workshop]. The word [FOLIO] is printed in dark brown in the bottom right corner, encircled in brown. The interior of the folder is plain tan as is the back side of the folder.
