The Housatonic River. NPS / Liz Lacy.
With passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (H.R. 2617), the Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers System gained two Northeast rivers: the Housatonic in Connecticut and the York in Maine.

The Partnership system now has 18 designated rivers across the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic and Florida.
