Stöd

Every step works a complex network of bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments — under the whole weight of your body. No wonder feet have problems.

Four habits for healthy feet

  1. Look at your feet regularly.
  2. Wear comfortable shoes that fit.
  3. Wash them daily with soap and lukewarm water.
  4. Trim toenails straight across, and not too short.

What your feet can tell you

Your feet can give clues about your overall health:

What you noticeWhat it could mean
Stiff jointsarthritis
Tingling or numbnessdiabetes
Swellingkidney disease, heart disease or high blood pressure

Good foot care and regular foot checks are part of good health care. If your feet are giving you trouble, talk to your doctor.
