In 2018, 67.0% of U.S. adults aged 50–75 were up to date with the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations for colorectal cancer screening.

For adults at average risk, the USPSTF recommends screening from 50 to 75 with any of these tests, at these intervals:

About the numbers

The figures come from household interviews in the National Health Interview Survey. Adults 40 and older were asked whether, and when, they'd had each test; they could report more than one. People with a history of colorectal cancer were excluded.
